Dihexa is a small-molecule derivative of angiotensin IV rather than a peptide in the ordinary sense. Its structure is N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) aminohexanoic amide: a Tyr-Ile core with a six-carbon acyl cap at one end and a six-carbon aminohexanoic amide at the other. Those two caps are what make it lipophilic, and they are what separate it from the parent tetrapeptide.
