Adamax is supplied here with no specification table, because no primary source establishes its structure, its sequence or its mass. That absence is the honest description of it.
This page states that rather than filling the gap, because the alternative is worse. A search across PubChem, FDA GSRS, ChEMBL, CAS, the patent literature and both English and Russian-language scientific corpora returns no compound record, no unique ingredient identifier and no peer-reviewed paper that uses this name for a peptide. The only regulator-level document that mentions it at all is a June 2025 submission to the New Zealand Medicines Classification Committee, which names it in one line alongside Semax and gives no chemistry whatsoever.
What does circulate is a structure, and it traces to one place. The single structure in general circulation appears in exactly one source outside vendor listings - a Wikipedia article created in October 2025, whose infobox Wikipedia itself flags as unverified, whose structure image is the editor's own work, and whose talk page records that the structure was derived by analogy from Semax rather than taken from a publication. Vendors, meanwhile, publish three incompatible structures with residue counts of seven, eight and nine, two different CAS numbers - one of which belongs to an unrelated cell-adhesion peptide - and at least one molecular formula that is chemically impossible for the mass printed beside it.
For contrast, the parent compound the derivation starts from is fully characterised, and the difference in evidence is the point. Semax is the seven-residue peptide Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, CAS 80714-61-0, registered at PubChem and FDA GSRS with agreeing formulae and masses and present in seven independent databases. Its N-acetylated amidate is separately registered. Neither of those records describes anything with an adamantane group, and neither has an eighth or ninth residue.
The practical consequence for a laboratory is that there is no reference standard to check a vial against. Identity for this material can only come from lot-specific high-resolution mass spectrometry and NMR supplied with the material itself, not from a database lookup, and a certificate reporting only chromatographic purity establishes nothing about what the peak is.
